Summer Reads and Weekend get-a-ways

Last night I finished reading this book

parts of it were a little risque, but for the most part I really enjoyed it.
A couple girl friends and I have plans to go see the movie soon. I have heard good things about it and I am really looking forward to it.

Up next on the reading list are the following two books:

I loved Radical! It really challenged me in my Christian walk and changed some of my outlooks on how I live my life and what is really important. It will definitely hurt your feelings...but it's stuff you should be forced to think about and come to reality with. I am excited to jump into Platt's next book!

My friend, Autumn, read this while we were at the beach last week. She highly recommended it.
It's a short easy read so I will start on it too.

Last weekend was the beach, this weekend is Nashville!

I'm working a 16 hour shift today, then heading to Nashvegas in the A.M.
That is what is getting me through my shift!!!

I'm going up to help a friend, Steph, out and hang out with her girls(Anna and Emily), so that she and her husband can go out Friday to something he had gotten her tickets for...and they can enjoy a night in town. I'm excited because I only get to see them for a quick minute when they are home visiting family, so it will be fun to catch up.

On the agenda:
Movies
Shopping
laughs
pool/lake
sunshine
craziness
ReLaXaTiOn

Original plans were to head back Saturday, but Steph asked me to stay until Sunday and go to church with them...hence the 16 hour shift to make up my hours:0)

I'm glad I'm staying for the weekend now and do not have to rush back to work, that way I can hang with Steph Saturday afternoon when they get back and just enjoy the weekend!

I'm kinda loving these weekend get-a-ways
Perhaps next weekend I can visit here....

I think I would fit perfectly in that hammock :0)

I read this verse this past week and really loved it... A lot has happened this year already and God's work in all of it seriously astounds me..or should I say "utterly amazes" me ;0)

“Look at the nations and watch— and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe,
even if you were told. "
Habakkuk 1:5

Hope everyone is enjoying their week!
Tomorrow is Friday!!!
