This week has been crazy busy
So tonight was the perfect night to do absolutely nothing after a long day at work.
Not to mention we have a busy week ahead,as we leave Sunday morning to fly North.
Grace Anne came over and we just hung out, I cooked dinner, she made dessert, and we are watching a movie.
In actuality…she is passed out on the couch, and I’m blogging while watching the movie.
Tonight was my first “go” at using a charcoal grill. Really, using any kind of grill for that matter.
I gotta say, I was pretty impressed with myself.
I marinated the chicken with the following:
2 cups soy sauce
2tbsp Brown sugar
2tbsp Rice vinegar
then let it marinate all day today in a zip lock bag
It was really good!
I also grilled the corn
and served roasted greens beans and a small sweet potato along with it.
Grace Anne made me cupcakes as a pre-birthday celebration!
I do LOVE chocolate
AND funfetti cake!
they were D-lish!!!!
I’m kinda liking the celebrating my birthday for two weeks thing. Bring on 25!!!
We leave for Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont on Sunday…
Have I packed a single thing yet?
Absolutely not…typical me
I haven’t even done the “Wal-Mart run” yet!
I work tomorrow…then going to my Mom’s for a birthday dinner, with her and the siblings since I won’t be home on my actual bday
In all likelihood it will be late tomorrow night before I even start. We fly out of Huntsville at 8 something? Sunday morning, so chances are I won’t even go to bed Sat night…But who needs sleep anyway, right?
Be watching for updates along the way , regarding our trip!
I’m taking my computer in hopes of blogging along the way, It remains to be seen if it actually happens
